Note: listed here are last year's (2005) events. We'll have the 2006 events posted ASAP.
1. On August 26, the OSCC (Community Center) will be having "A
Night at The Races," video horse racing with 10 races, a Daily Double
and an Auction Race. These are great fun! Tickets are $10 and
provide food and refreshments as well as a chance to win some great door
prizes.
Doors will open at 6 PM, with the first race at 7 PM. We are also
selling horses for $10, with the buyer getting to name the horse as well
as having a chance to win $25 if the horse wins its race.
2. On August 27, the OSVFD will be offering the 8 x 4 x 4 Triathlon,
which consists of 8 miles biking, 4 miles paddling on the Middle and 4 miles
running. Early registration is $15; day of race registration $20.
Registration is from 8 AM until 10 AM at the Fire Hall.
3. August 27, the OSCC (Community Center) will offer a Texas
Hold-em Tournament with the doors opening at 2 PM for single-table tournaments.
The main tournament starts at 5 PM. Buy-in is $80, $70 in advance
(before the 27th). This includes snacks, refreshments and
a dinner at 6 PM.
